Dementia Friendly Reading 2018 & Beyond

Dementia Friendly ReadingThe David K. Johnson Foundation is proud to support Dementia Friendly Reading. This is an initiative started by community leaders of all ages and backgrounds to establish Reading, MA as a town that empowers those with dementia and their caregivers to feel valued and actively engaged in our community. Social stigmas and a lack of public awareness can have a negative impact on those living with dementia, making life more difficult for them and the people they are supported by. Dementia Friendly Reading’s goal is to help change the way individuals, businesses and communities think, act and talk about dementia. We are happy to help Dementia Friendly Reading ensure that people with dementia and their caregivers are empowered, supported and included in our community.
